Instructions: The boxes in the left hand column above contain fields that can be searched on. Click on the left box in the top row and the fields will drop down. Click on the field of your choice. Then click on the middle box and make a choice of logical operands. Then carefully type in the value you are searching for in the box on the right. If you are doing a simple search you can now click on "Search". If your search is more complex continue to enter fields, operands, and values on the next row(s). The search routine automatically puts an "and" connector between each row. (The "and" is not displayed but it's there.) You can fill in as many as four rows in your search, but the more complex your search the longer it will take. After filling in the search fields, you can select up to two fields to sort on. The first field is the primary sort and the second field is the secondary sort. You can sort either field in either ascending or descending order. You can't do a sort without first doing a search. However, if you want to see all the records, do a search where P ID > 0. You also have the option to display or omit Universe Notes. Once the search and sort are set up the way you want, click on the "Search" button. (If you encounter problems, press the refresh button on your browser.) Examples of some valid searches are shown below:

Search #1 Sample: Universe = Known Space
Search #2 Sample: TL > 8.9 AND Class = M
Search #3 Sample: Star Name = Talos AND P# = IV
Search #4 Sample: Universe = Star Trek AND Class = M AND TL> 8.9 AND TL <10
